This study aimed to develop and examine the effectiveness of a community-based stress management model on blood pressure control, stress levels, and self-management capabilities in hypertensive patients. Subjects and Method: This study used a Quasi-Experimental design with a Pre-test and Post-test with Control Group approach. The sample consisted of 70 hypertensive patients at Singosari Health Center selected using purposive sampling, divided into intervention (n=35) and control groups (n=35). The intervention group received education and cadre assistance using the slow deep breathing technique, while the control group received standard care. Instruments included a digital sphygmomanometer, DASS-21 (stress subscale), and self-management questionnaires. Data were analyzed using Paired and Independent T-Tests. Results: There was an average decrease in systolic blood pressure of 15.80 mmHg (p=0.001) and diastolic of 10.30 mmHg (p=0.002) in the intervention group, significantly different from the control group. The intervention also significantly reduced stress scores (p=0.000) and increased self-management scores (p=0.005). Conclusion: The community-based stress management model facilitated by health cadres is effective in lowering blood pressure, reducing psychological stress, and increasing patient independence. This model is recommended for integration into the Posbindu PTM program.

Keywords: Health Cadres, Hypertension, Self-Management, Slow Deep Breathing, Stress Management
abdul hanan Copyright (c) 2026 abdul hanan http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://trial-ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/JIKI/article/view/6483 Fri, 24 Apr 2026 00:00:00 +0000 Efektivitas Aplikasi Telenursing Totok Punggung terhadap Kepatuhan Perawatan dan Tekanan Darah Pasien Hipertensi https://trial-ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/JIKI/article/view/6484
Background: Hypertension morbidity remains high due to low treatment adherence triggered by the perception of "feeling healthy." The use of digital technology for self-care is not yet optimal. This study aims to develop a "Totok Punggung" (Back Acupressure) telenursing application based on Orem's Theory and test its effectiveness on adherence and blood pressure. Subjects and Method: The research design used mixed-methods (Research and Development followed by a Randomized Controlled Trial). The study was conducted in Malang Regency with a sample of 100 hypertensive patients (50 intervention, 50 control) selected through multistage random sampling. Research instruments included Orem's self-care ability questionnaire, CULIG adherence scale, and digital sphygmomanometer. Data analysis used Paired and Independent T-Tests. Results: The application was declared valid (CVI=0.92) and had high acceptability (SUS score=78.5). The intervention group showed a significant increase in self-care ability (p<0.001) and adherence (p<0.001). There was an average decrease in systolic blood pressure of 24.20 mmHg and diastolic of 12.20 mmHg in the intervention group (p<0.001) compared to the control group. Conclusion: The "Totok Punggung" telenursing application is effective in bridging self-care deficits, changing non-compliant behavior, and stabilizing patient hemodynamics. This intervention can be adopted in primary health services.
agus setyo utomo, Nurul Hidayah, Abdul Hanan, Dyah Ayu Savitri, Naura Syafni Rahmawati, Feni Dewanti Copyright (c) 2026 agus setyo utomo, Nurul Hidayah, Abdul Hanan, Dyah Ayu Savitri, Naura Syafni Rahmawati, Feni Dewanti http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://trial-ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/JIKI/article/view/6484 Fri, 24 Apr 2026 00:00:00 +0000 EFEKTIVITAS INTERVENSI HEALTH BELIEF MODEL TERHADAP PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN HIPERTENSI REMAJA DI WILAYAH DINOYO https://trial-ojs.poltekkes-malang.ac.id/JIKI/article/view/6486
Background: The increasing prevalence of hypertension in adolescents aged 15-24 years, reaching 9.3%, demands holistic preventive strategies beyond conventional education. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Health Belief Model (HBM)-based educational interventions on changing primary hypertension prevention behavior in adolescents. Subjects and Method: This quasi-experimental study with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design involved 120 students (60 intervention, 60 control) in the Dinoyo PHC working area. The sampling technique used multi-stage cluster random sampling. Variables were measured using structured questionnaires and clinical measurements, then analyzed using ANCOVA and Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results: The HBM intervention was significantly effective in transforming hypertension prevention behavior (p < 0.001; effect size η2 = 0.380) compared to standard education. Structural analysis showed that self-efficacy was the most dominant predictor (β = 0.51) in mediating the adoption of a healthy lifestyle. Conclusion: HBM intervention contributes significantly to fostering early healthy behavior habituation.
